New Design
I've decided I like this new design - it reminds me of using lynx, the text based web browser. No clutter, just words and spaces.
Tony Boyles is Amazing
Tony Boyles has now saved me so much time and effort by removing aspects of my old desk that I did not like. His Blog @ http://nortalktoowise.110mb.com/
Slowing life down.
For the next month, I have decided to challenge myself. As many of you know, I tend to live my life at a fast pace, slowing down for nothing. To fix this in little ways, I'm going to stop using the microwave.
Desks
As my loyal readers (reader?) know, I cannot stand my current desk. It is a cheap computer desk with an attached hutch which I cannot remove. In desgining my new room, I have the perfect space for a desk, about three and a half feet between the foot of my bed and the wall facing a window. I do not want to waste that space with the desk I have now because I've never been able to fit what I want on it. Therefor, I'm considering building my own desk. One issue that I've noticed with the space is that if done incorrectly, my desk would block the only airvent in the room.
Harry Potter
Tonight, for the second night in a row, I saw the sixth Harry Potter movie, The Half Blood Prince. The first time I saw it, Friday night, I couldn't decide what I thought of it. They took a lot of liberties that I was not expecting and it really through me for a loop.
Weddings
Last night I attended the wedding of David and Cat Arthur. This wedding was different from all the other weddings I've attended previously, seeing as I've only known the two as a couple. With Edward or Nick, I'd grown up with them and they met their wonderful women later on in life. David, from my perspective, has always been engaged to Cat.
Moved.
Done. Done moving.
Also the plunge has been taken.
Almost Done
I've fit a lot more in the space than I though possible!
The move is almost done.
Moving
Today I signed a lease with my good friend Kanwei, who is graciously letting me stay in his place for the next month.
One small issue - it's tiny. Very tiny. Most of my furniture will not fit. Now I'm asking all of my atlanta friends to help out. It's a good thing I've got friends here with houses and cousins with mini-vans.
Swing Dancing
Tonight we had an ASEDA going away party / dance for Adam Haer, a swing dancer moving to California for seminary. We hosted it here at Emory in Fellowship Hall. I don't know why it is always as hot as it is in Glenn, but it's alwayss a sauna in there.
Overall, it was a good dance. Moose DJ'd, and he always plays the older fun songs. Somewhere along the way he's picked up speaking announcing / talking during his sets.
